Start with load, not brand names

Constant rear weight needs a rear-spring strategy; a front level alone does not restore rear ride height or payload margin. List the weight that stays on the truck, then choose rear springs for that range before choosing shocks or visual stance. Bilstein describes its B8 5100 ride-height-adjustable product as a front OE-coilover leveling solution, using stock front springs and providing application-dependent lift. That makes it relevant to front ride height, but it does not answer what rear spring rate a loaded Tacoma needs. Read Bilstein’s product guidance.

The rear spring carries the permanent load and sets the loaded stance. The damper controls motion; it does not substitute for the correct spring capacity. What to confirm in a combined setup

Check part numbers, actual lift range, rear spring load rating, shock travel at the intended height, alignment range and any supporting components. A setup can be physically bolt-on yet poorly matched if the rear is lightly loaded most of the time or overloaded beyond the spring’s intended range. Do not infer vehicle payload from a spring’s advertised constant-load category; the vehicle’s payload limit still governs.
