Will 2016–2023 Tacoma Sliders and Skid Plates Fit a 2024+ Tacoma?

DOES NOT FIT AS A DEFAULT
Do not assume it transfers. 2016–2023 Tacoma sliders and skid plates should be treated as incompatible with a 2024+ Tacoma unless the manufacturer explicitly approves the exact part number for both generations.

Why the generations need separate fitment
Armor attaches to frame points, cross-members, body geometry and underbody components. A new generation can change all of those interfaces. Similar truck dimensions or a familiar “Tacoma” badge are not a fitment standard.
Manufacturer catalogs reflect this separation. C4 lists dedicated 2016–2023 Tacoma armor products and a separate 2024–2026 4th-gen Tacoma armor range. The 4th-gen skid system also requires a choice between i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX hybrid configurations, plus sway-bar-disconnect configuration. See C4’s 4th-gen skid fitment.
What can go wrong with an assumed transfer
An assumed fit can leave mounting holes misaligned, interfere with exhaust or drivetrain components, reduce service access, conflict with sensors or recovery points, or place a load into a mount not designed for it. The risk is higher with sliders and skids because they are structural/protective components, not cosmetic trim.
When an exception is valid
An exception exists only when the manufacturer’s current fitment documentation names the same part number for both generations and your drivetrain/trim are included. If the catalog instead offers distinct 3rd- and 4th-generation versions, use the dedicated new-generation part.
Do not treat a forum photo, a custom fabrication job or an unverified marketplace listing as an approval. Those may demonstrate physical possibility, not safe or supported fitment.
Bottom line
For a 2024+ Tacoma, buy generation-specific armor. Keep 2016–2023 parts on the older truck, sell them as 3rd-gen parts, or obtain explicit written manufacturer approval before considering a transfer.
